Cute and quite
I bought this as a gift for my son for his one year birthday and almost six months later he still loves it. He had a little trouble getting on it at first, but that was more just him learning how to climb on and ride it. The size has actually been perfect for him. It is not too big or too small for him. It comes with a very cute set of little animals that can be stored in the seat or on the front and back of the tractor. In our house they just end up in one of the toy bins, but our son still like to put other things in the seat. One of the best features of this toy is that it is quite! It makes a cute little tractor sound and the horn beeps. We have so many loud toys in our house it is nice to have one that is not so obnoxious. The handle on the back only rests in place, so if you try to pick it up using the handle it easily comes out. It does work fine if you are using it just to push the tractor however. It has held up very well. Our son also tends to stand on the seat and sometimes even the steering wheel. While not the safest thing to do, it is sturdy enough for it. I would definitely recommend this tractor.

Girls like it, too!
When I read reviews on this tractor, I noticed that they were all about sons and grandsons. Well, I want to say that it's great for girls, too! At 12 months, my granddaughter loves to open the seat and take out the 4 little farm animals. That is the first thing she does when she comes to visit Grandma & Grandpa. These are simple little hard plastic animals, but for some reason, she fell in love with them. (Horse, cow, sheep & pig) Under the seat, there is a spot where you press each farm animal into, and it makes the sound of that animal and also plays music sometimes. I didn't see anything about this in the description, so it was a pleasant surprise. It also has two buttons on the steering wheel, one that makes a motor sound and one that plays music. She loves to walk behind and push it around, but she needs to grow just a bit more before she can ride it. I think this tractor will entertain her for months, if not years, to come.

Sturdy, fun toy
Bought this as a gift for our grandson for his first birthday. He loved it then and now at 22 months old he still enjoys it. At first he needed help getting on and moving it around, but it was good motor skills training! Now he has figured out how to maneuver and move it wherever he wants to go. We have used this primarily as an indoor toy, and it has held up really well - still looks almost new. He loves the buttons to "start the engine" and "beep the horn". The back rest piece comes out easily when we pick it up and move it, which is a little annoying, but not enough to be a big problem. The little animals are a cute touch, although he loses interest in those quickly (he has occasionally put them in the spot inside the seat to hear them make their noises) and often tosses them off to the side. Worthwhile purchase!

Fun anywhere!
Yep. This tractor is a hit at my house. My child loves tractors and this fits the wish and then some! It can be pushed around on grass, carpet, wood floors or even through the neighborhood streets (we've done all four successfully). The animal sounds in the inside compartment are a little finicky with the animals (they don't always work right), but for us it's not a big problem. I'd say a child needs to be at least 12 months to sit and push it around with their feet (because of the toy's height).

LOVE LOVE LOVE this Tractor!!
I purchased this for our 12 month old grandson for Christmas. It arrived today. I opened the package and tested everything. I found that the "Old MacDonald" did not play when you push the horn. It actually just made a cool horn sound. The other button on the steering wheel makes a start-up engine noise. Both sounds are awesome. However, I noticed that it did not play Old MacDonald as the box said. So, I called Tomy. They mentioned that there is a red pull tab on the bottom near the battery compartment. When you pull the tab off, it no longer plays Old MacDonald. I tried re-inserting the red tab and sure enough, Old MacDonald played, but not the horn! I prefer the horn sound. It is so cool. So, I just pulled the red tab out again and fixed that issue. Some have complained about the yellow pull handle coming out. I pushed mine in as hard as I could and it seems fine. I am so excited about this toy! I can't wait to give it to our grandson. Hope he loves it as much as I do!! Super cool toy. :)

The best push toy for tall kids!
This was hands down the best purchase for our son! He has been tall since birth (97th% or higher), so when we were looking at the push toys, he was towering over them and would ignore them and try to use our ottomans (which were too heavy). This was the perfect solution. It had enough weight to it that it wouldn't shoot out from under him (he started using this at 9 months). He also loved sitting down and playing with the animals and making all the noises. He recently had his 2nd birthday and this is still one of his favorite toys. Its his riding toy and his fill and spill toy, as he loves loading up the compartment with everything (tools, pretend food, etc). I strongly recommend this to any parent with a tall child!

My son loves it!!
Bought this for my son's 2nd birthday and he absolutely loves it. He's played with it every single day since opening it at his party. I love how it comes with the 4 animals and that the seat opens so he can play with them. Only minor issue is that sometimes when hes pushing it the handle pops right off with little effort, not too big of a deal but if he starts getting aggravated with that I'm sure its nothing a little glue can't fix. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

The BEST first birthday gift!
My one-year-old LOVES his new John Deere Sit-n-Scoot Activity Tractor! I have to hide it in the morning or we'll never get out of the house! It came assembled (thank goodness) and ready to play right out of the box. My son is not walking yet, so this is the perfect transitional toy: He can walk behind it and use it for support, or ride and scoot. The music and sound effects are cute and short -- excellent, as a LOT of his toys are getting on my nerves when they play incessantly. Overall, I think this is a fantastic toy and my son and I couldn't be happier!

Bought This for Our 10-month Old
I originally bought this tractor for our 10-month old son for him to sit on and play with the animals. He loves the animals and the sound they make, as well as the sounds that the tractor makes. When you open the seat, there is a stop to press the animals into, and each animal makes it's sound when you put it in the area, which he likes a lot :) Also, the steering wheel has 2 buttons: one plays the sound of the tractor starting up and running, and the other plays the "Old McDonald had a farm" tune, which he really likes and laughs during. I'm a huge John Deere fan, and this tractor is just like the real ones: very rugged. We haven't has to clean it thoroughly yet, but there really aren't a lot places for dirt to hide, so this thing is very easy to clean as well. The handle on the back has been really helpful for our son learning the walk, although we need to slow the tractor so he doesn't fall on his face because the tractor rolls very easy and smoothly. All in all, this was a great purchase and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Love it!!!
This is such a awesome tractor!!! My 15 month Grandson loves it! He doesn't use it as a ride on toy yet, but pushes it around, and loves playing with the animals! And each animal, when placed in the holder under the seat, will make the approbate sound. Its a little tricky, even for me some times, but the little guy actually can do it sometimes. It has 2 sounds, one is a tractor starting, and the other plays "Old McDonald had a farm" You can't go wrong with this! Highly recommended !!!
