Thịt vịt rửa sạch, để ráo sau đó ướp muối, tiêu cho ngấm gia vị. Hành lá, sả rửa sạch, cắt khúc.
Khoai lang, cà rốt, hành tây, khoai tây gọt vỏ cắt thành từng miếng. Tiếp theo cắt hành tím thành từng lát.
Đun nóng dầu ăn trong chảo, cho thịt vịt vào chiên đến khi vàng đều thì cho ra đĩa, chặt nhỏ.
Cho khoai lang, khoai tây vào chiên sau đó vớt ra để ráo dầu. Phi thơm hành tím, tỏi băm rồi cho thịt vịt, cà rốt, hành tây, bột cà ri vào đảo đều. Cuối cùng đổ 1 lít nước vào nấu.
Thêm nước cốt dừa, sả, bột nghệ vào đun lửa nhỏ trong vòng 15 phút. Cho khoai lang, khoai tây đã chiên vào tiếp tục nấu, nêm ít muối, đường, bột ngọt sao cho vừa ăn.
